The students were able to use Pixton to create their own "graphic memoirs" after reading Stitches, by David Small. Pixton allowed them to explore the relationship between words and images in telling a story.

Pixton is one of my favorite web tools. I use it with vocabulary; I assign each student a few of the week's words. The assignment is to show, not tell, what the vocabulary words mean in a comic. The kids love it and so do I!
